My (Terrible) History of Journal Keeping

Over the years I’ve had many attempts at keeping some form of diary or journal. At first it was a daily record of all the excitement involved in the life of a small child - by which I mean every year I wrote about three sentences for each day in the gloriously girly diary I would receive for Christmas until about New Year’s, at which point I would get bored. I had no patience for it (or much else beyond reading about sharks and Egyptian gods, if I’m perfectly honest).

Then I turned about 16, which was when I decided to have another attempt. This time I would succeed; this time I would have the most interesting secret life story. I told myself I wouldn’t write in it every day because that would just put me off. No, I would only write whenever there was drama in my life.

Naturally, this didn’t work out.

There wasn’t much drama in my life and what drama there was, I didn’t want to write about because I was absolutely paranoid that through some series of events someone would manage to get hold of the word document I was using and then whoops everyone knows. That was a ridiculous fear of course. As if anyone would care. But hey, I was a silly teenager - cut me some slack.

But here I am now, attempting to start a blog. My motivation? I love films. More importantly, I love talking about films. TV, too of course but that won’t be the focus of this blog. Posts will be my personal reactions to films interspersed with the occasional TV post and other film related things.

If you’ve made it this far, I hope I entertain you. Maybe we share a taste in films?

Do you see these two guys? These two are pictures of my friends Gavin and Nick. 

If you look close enough you can see someone’s face behind Nick in the closet. Can you see it? This photo was taken the night they were killed. My friends were just having a sleepover because Nick came back from New York because he was on vacation with his family. The next morning Gavin’s sister found him and Nick’s body in the closet exactly where the face was. The police have no idea how they were killed or who killed them. 

If you don’t reblog this within 10 minutes, the thing that killed Gavin and Nick will appear in your closet in exactly 227 minutes and slaughter you like what it did to my friends. 

This is not fake.
